Literatures of the Americas

Surveys literary texts in the original language or translation from Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, and the rest of Latin American countries, emphasizing the linguistic, historical, and cultural diversity that defines the region. The course looks at the interlocking diasporas—demographic, political, stylistic—within the Americas in the context of the 21^st century.
